Adding CSS Class to Blocks
In this example, we add a hello-world-block
class to each block in the editor. We also create a CSS rule to add a border to all elements with that class.
Relevant Docs:
import "@blocknote/core/fonts/inter.css";
import { BlockNoteView, useCreateBlockNote } from "@blocknote/react";
import "@blocknote/react/style.css";
import "./styles.css";
export default function App() {
// Creates a new editor instance.
const editor = useCreateBlockNote({
// Sets attributes on DOM elements in the editor.
domAttributes: {
// Adds a class to all `blockContainer` elements.
block: {
class: "hello-world-block",
},
},
initialContent: [
{
type: "paragraph",
content: "Welcome to this demo!",
},

content: "You can see there's a border around each block",
},

// Renders the editor instance using a React component.
return <BlockNoteView editor={editor} />;
